Isabel graduated with a Master’s in Osteopathic Medicine from Southern Cross University, Gold Coast in 2023.
Her journey into osteopathy has been marked by a deep fascination with the intricacies of the human body and a keen appreciation for the benefits of manual therapy and craniosacral osteopathy. In addition to her foundational osteopathic training, she has completed courses in facial and body dry needling, integrating these methods into treatments alongside exercise prescriptions and lifestyle modifications for comprehensive patient management.
As a curious and nurturing practitioner, she is always eager to discover new ways to support the body’s natural healing processes. Isabel is particularly interested in cranial and facial osteopathy and its benefits for those struggling with jaw, neck, and sleep disorders. Isabel recognises the complementary relationship that osteopathy has with holistic dental care and the ability of the combination to improve patient outcomes.
During her five-year degree, Isabel worked as a support worker within the neurodivergent community, establishing rapport with adolescents and young adults with ADHD and autism. This work was gratifying, enhancing her appreciation and fascination for the nervous system and its regulating ability. The skillset she built from this experience is incorporated into her osteopathy practice, where tools to support vagal tone and breathing patterns are needed.
Isabel grew up in country Victoria and moved to Queensland in 2016, where she finished high school and went to university. Isabel recognises the ability of a balanced body and nervous system to enable us to do what we love. She believes movement is an expression and has particular interests in Latin dance, surfing, and Pilates. Isabel’s approach is characterised by understanding, nurturance, and intuition. She aims to create a space for restorative wellness through her evolving expertise in osteopathy.
