Natural Dentistry, also known as holistic dental, therapeutic dentistry and biocompatible dentistry, is an approach that considers not just your dental health, but your physical and emotional health as well.

At Gold Coast Holistic Dental Care, our focus is to help you achieve your optimum health, including physical, emotional, and oral health. We do this through leading healthcare treatments, including orthodontics, massage therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, naturopathy and treatment in our infrared sauna on the Gold Coast. Our primary focus is to help our patients achieve optimum health, and that is why we believe there is more to dentistry than just the mouth. In order to do so, we aim to help our patients identify, prevent and eliminate the root causes of disease and bad health.
The main difference between a holistic dental practice and a traditional one is our natural, holistic approach to dental treatments. We don’t just focus on your mouth but the whole body and how it all works together. Did you know that some dental treatments, such as a root canal, can actually cause you harm later on in life? Especially with a root canal treatment, traditional dentistry always has the risk of leaving some infection in the bone, gum or tooth after the procedure is done, and this means it can cause you harm and greater pain later on. Here at Gold Coast Holistic Dental Care, we advise all patients who require root canal treatment to instead pull the infected tooth. This is a more natural way to treat the infected area and completely flush the infection away. It is also safer in the long run.
Our therapeutic dentistry practice focuses on healing the whole body, affecting the whole body, and even incorporating a peaceful, stress-free mind and a stress-free body. Believe it or not, this can all be related to your teeth. After all, it all works within one body! If this sounds interesting to you, check out our available packages that will calm the body and the mind. This can be used in conjunction with a dental treatment or on its own.
Some of the services that we offer here at Gold Coast Holistic Dental Care that you definitely won’t find at a traditional dental practice are our massage services. We are proud of our skilled masseuses who are part of the team here at GCHDC, and we offer the following massage therapies from these dedicated professionals:
We believe that acupuncture can assist in the treatment of a variety of discomforts, diseases or conditions, including:
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the joint that connects the jaw to the skull. TMJ dysfunction can be caused by trauma, an improper bite, arthritis or wear and tear. Common symptoms include jaw tenderness, headaches, earaches and facial pain. At a traditional dental practice, you may be offered treatments such as Botox, expensive injectables and mouth guards. Here at GCHDC, we believe in a holistic dental approach. This means that we focus on natural remedies and a multi-disciplinary approach to your treatment. Consider acupuncture or talk to our specialist, Dr Tony Simeone, about expanding your treatment to a Physio, Nutritionist, Fitness coach or massage therapist.
Sauna therapy at the dentist? You heard it right: we also feature an infrared sauna in our Gold Coast practice, as we believe in the amazing benefits that it provides for overall physical and mental wellbeing. We specialise in the use of infrared saunas for detoxification treatments, as your body filters out all of the toxins in your body through sweat. As well as relaxation benefits and cleansing your skin, our sauna can help to expel harmful toxins to improve your optimum level of health. Whether it’s chemicals from our foods, pesticides, cleaning products or from the very air we breathe, we all have toxins. Some of these chemicals are just too much for our liver and kidneys to handle, so they build up within our joints, our blood, fat and organs. This affects the whole body, including the head and jaw, so we recommend this to anyone interested in detoxification or relaxation.
